Hallow Tree

Mari sits in the center of the forest, inside a big hallow tree.

"It's dark in here, but I'm glad..."
*curls up in a ball*
"Am I hurting Misa with the things that I'm saying? BUT IT"S NOT FAIR! That's part of the battle, she shouldn't get that sad!"
*punches her fist to the ground*
*calms down*
"B-but... I am hurting her..."
*starts to cry*
"But it isn't fair! Misa has everything in the world! Fans, money! Almost everyone loves her! Couldn't she just let someone else take this one thing...? But L..."
*stops crying*
"I don't know if L loves either of us... He's always nice, but maybe he just doesn't want us to be sad... Is he playing us? I wish he would choose, because it's killing us inside..."
*starts to laugh a bit*
"Y'know, Mari. You and Misa could've been friends, if only you both didn't love L so much. You could have been best friends for a long... time..."
*starts to cry again*
"What should I do...?"

He was walking by when he seen Mari in the center of a hollow tree. "What are you doing..?" He noticed her tears and bent down infront of her. "What's wrong..?"

*looks away from him*
"NOTHING! I'M JUST MAD!"
*looks sideways so he can see half of her face*
"Mad at myself..."

"Why are you mad at yourself..?" He stared at her as he was bent down infront of her.

L runs past the tree. "Mari are you here?!" I'm so stupid. Why do I even bother. No matter what I say someone will always get upset. He looked towards the tree and saw Gaara sitting in front of a tree but he couldn't see Mari. "Huh?" He walked over to Gaara then he noticed Mari. "Mari I've been looking everywhere for you." He said completely ignoring the fact that Gaara was there.

*tries to smile*
"H-Hi!"
*looks at Gaara*

*looks around*
"Where's Misa?"

He looked up at L, then back to Mari, staying silent. 'I feel a bit in the way here..'

"Misa's still at the academy...I think...Are you ok? Why did you run off?I was worried." He said as he smiled hoping that Misa was ok.

*stands up*
"I don't think Misa likes me. And I don't really care if someone deosn't like me. But I want her to like me... I don't know why."
*looks down*
"I'm sorry L. Me and Misa were being bad friends, if you didn't like us, we should have just let things happen naturally instead of forcing you. You wanted to make us both happy, but we couldn't let you do that, so I'm sorry."

He looked at her, then at L, then back at her. He was trying to come up with a plan to get out of there without being rude or noticed. 'I think I might be stuck..'
